How the tools are built

Every tool starts from research into the task it serves, not from a template. Tools run in your browser wherever possible, and every tool ships with automated end-to-end tests that run in two browser engines — a change that breaks a tool cannot be published.

How the reference articles are written

The article below each tool is drafted with AI assistance from a fact sheet that describes exactly what that tool does, in every language this site supports. Each language version is then reviewed independently; a version that passes review shows the editorial review line together with the date its text last changed, and a version that has not passed review carries no such line.

The dates are real: they move only when the article's own text changes, never for a redesign of the page around it.

Rules we never break

Articles may not claim a feature, number or limit the tool does not have. No invented authors, credentials or reviews appear anywhere on this site. Automated checks block placeholder links and untranslated fragments from reaching a published page.

Notable changes to the tools are listed on the changelog. If we got a fact wrong, the corrections page explains how to tell us and what happens next.
